Oleh karena itu, Menteri Pertahanan Republik Indonesia memesan 500 unit Pindad Maung untuk memperkuat pertahanan Indonesia.
Dilansir dari situs berita daring, Pindad Maung versi sipil dikabarkan hadir dengan mesin turbo diesel 4 silinder 2.400 CC dengan kapasistas tangki bahan bakar sebesar 80 liter dan diklaim dapat menempuh jarak hingga 800 KM.
